Have you purchased all of your goodies and now you are not sure where to start?
Here are some helpful tips!
FILLING IN YOUR BROWS WITH EYESHADOWS
HOW TO USE:
HOW TO CLEAN:
WHAT YOU NEED:
BRUSH CLEANER & MICROFIBER TOWEL
HOW TO CLEAN:
Say something interesting about your business here.
No two applications are the same—when you make the switch to Seint Beauty, you will need to erase everything that you’ve been taught about traditional makeup. I’ll be the first to tell you that there is a learning curve with this makeup because Seint Beauty is a cream foundation that is HIGHLY pigmented which means you need MUCH LESS product. My best advice is to play with it, have fun and always keep in mind “less is more”
MOSTURIZE:
Moisturizing your skin is super important, BUT you do not need to MOISTURIZE right before application like you would before using a liquid foundation. IF you feel like you need to MOISTURIZE in the morning only moisturize where you are dry and make sure that you are letting your moisturizer SOAK INTO YOUR SKIN or your cream will slide around/off of your skin.
PRIME:
With creams, there is no need to prime. You can PRIME but make sure that there is NO silicone in your primer. Let this dry as well before applying.
SPF:
SPF’s can cause excess oil production, so the same rule applies—let your SPF soak in before applying your makeup. I recommend Super Goop, they have a matte version and a glow. Link included: https://supergoop.com/collections/face
OILY/TACKY/CAKEY:
Less is more!! I can’t say it enough. Your highlight tin should be lasting around 3 months. If you are going through a lot, we may also need to get you a darker shade. If you touch your skin and it feels tacky, you have too much product on your skin. Don’t be afraid to experiment with using as little as possible and build til you find the right amount of coverage. Only put where you need! Layers are for cake.
OILY SKIN:
Setting Sprays work wonders! We also have a powder that fits into your palette called Vanilla Dust. If you do use a powder, ONLY use it in your T-Zones. I used to use powder in my t-zone in the beginning, but my skin has since balanced out. Occasionally, especially in this Texas humidity, I wear my Banana setting powder by Ben Nye - LOVE IT. There are also primers that can control oil. I really like Fitish Don’t Sweat It and Stay by Seint especially in the Texas summer.
SPOTTY/FLAKY/PATCHY:
Switch to exfoliating and mositurizing your skin AT NIGHT and try applying your HAC the next day. If it is still flaky or patchy, we need to do a new color match and have a convo about our amazing skincare line.
CREASING UNDER EYES:
If you have creasing the easiest thing to do is just tap with your ring finger through the day and it goes back. Every makeup will crease if you have fine lines, but with creams you can easily fix it! If you are more mature avoid powder under the eyes. This will make creasing worse. Less is more again. Avoid putting too much makeup under your eyes. Using the pointy end of a damp Perfector Sponge will help pounce away excess makeup.
ACNE:
Ahhh color theory...it makes the nerd in me SO happy. Go darker, not lighter. To cover pink or red, use brown (Aspen) or green (June). To cover blue, use orange (Mango). You won’t get rid of texture, but you can hide those pigments. Please come to me with issues so we can troubleshoot. LOTS of options to try.
BREAKOUTS:
Any time you use a new product there is a chance you may see your skin purge. As long as there is no itchy rash like allergy keep with it. Your skin should work through it in a week or two. Make sure you are properly washing off the makeup NOT just using makeup wipes. A non-suds cleanser is best.
COLOR VARIATIONS:
Use more than one highlight. The creams are blendable so it is very easy to achieve a polished look using different shades. Creams don’t just hang out on top of your skin, they blend right in so it’s much better having more than one to work with. Again...throw out all you know about traditional makeup. I promise it’s worth it
BLENDING:
Use our PERFECTOR SPONGE after getting it wet with water making sure to squeeze all the excess water into a towel and then using it to PRESS your makeup into your skin this also will remove any excess product.
LOOKS GREASY OR OILY:
You are probably not used to a dewy finish. We don’t want to look wet but we don’t want to look dry...it can be a hard transition. Your skin should LOOK LIKE SKIN! It may take a couple of weeks for your skin to adjust. Commit to it and know that there is greatness on the other side. Your skin will thank you later.
▪︎ Cream makeup does not SET! It is designed to move with your skin and to look like skin.
You can use a setting spray and/or powder to set the makeup if you feel like it is slipping.
▪︎ A glowing and dewy finish is beautiful, and once you get used to seeing your skin actually
looking like skin through the makeup, you will never be able to go back to a matte makeup, I
promise. It’s a whole different type of freedom when your skin can actually breathe.
CONTOUR DISAPPEARING:
Use a darker contour if you feel like you can’t see your contour after a few hours. Same rule applies to blush.
CONTOUR LOOKS DIRTY:
If your contour looks dirty, let’s talk about a different shade. It should not settle into your pores or seem hard to blend in.
TEXTURE SHOWS THROUGH:
Texture issues are almost always color match problem or too much product. If you feel like one part of your skin has a texture problem, you may need a different color on those specific parts of your skin. Make sure you exfoliate and moisturize. If you can see the flakes, cream will not cover up that texture!
BRUSHES:
Clean your brushes once a week with our Brush Cleaner to avoid any breakouts from using dirty brushes but also to avoid picking up too much product. Do NOT soak the brushes in water. This will dissolve the glue and cause the bristles to shed. The more dense the brush's bristles the more product it will pick up. If you have a heavy hand, use a bigger brush like the Blush and Bronzer for more of an airbrushed finish.
Remember that I was new at this once, too. Give yourself lots of grace and have fun learning something new. It’s absolutely worth it! I’m here to help always!!
XOXO, Amanda
